Pint-sized performance cars are always fun, and Suzuki has a rich 40-year history making them
This one has a manual transmission, factory-fitted Recaro seats and turbocharged engine
The Suzuki Alto Works is a turbocharged performance kei hatchback that’s been sold continuously in Japan for over 40-years.
It’s no wonder the Suzuki Alto nameplate has become synonymous with compact and lightweight fun. Dubbed Alto Works ‘ha36s’ – and still sold new in the Motherland – this current-generation Suzuki weighs just 720kg and is powered by a 660cc turbocharged triple with 47kW/100Nm.
Consider its power-to-weight ratio first, then think about the inherent goodness that comes with light cars. The resulting package is incredibly fun to drive and will undoubtedly make you smile.
And, at 3.39-metres wide by 1.47-metres long, you’ll still fit four adults comfortably in a Suzuki Alto Works. We managed to fit two baby seats in the back – check out the interior gallery for proof!
If you’re looking for an affordable compact performance car with a bit of bite – you’ve come to the right place.
