A near-new example of the most-popular kei truck in Japan
Standard features include front and rear parking sensors, low-speed auto emergency braking and dual air bags
This example of Japan’s best-selling kei truck – the Daihatsu Hijet – is badged as a Subaru.
In Japan, a lot of brands share vehicle platforms to promote domestic manufacturing. Kei trucks are a compact and fuel efficient ute that features mod-cons like dual airbags, traction and stability control, and four-wheel drive.
This version of Daihatsu Hijet – the S510 series – has been a best-seller continuously for over 50-years, so it’s no stranger to being good. This update model benefits from Advanced Driver Assist systems (ADAS) like front and rear parking sensors alongside auto emergency braking.
This single cab model’s drop-side tray measures up at 1.40-metres by 2.05-metres and will carry around 350kg safely. This example is also fitted with genuine weather shields and side-edge protectors.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck around the city or on a farm.
All of our kei trucks come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance which enables them to be road registered in any state in Australia.
The car pictured – 2024 Subaru Sambar TB 4×4
This Subaru Sambar Grand Cab was built in November 2024 and is a single-cab ‘TB’ model with 4×4.
It’s powered by the steadfast 660cc three-cylinder Toyota ‘KF’ engine. This example features a five-speed manual and selectable 4×4.
As a ‘TB’ model, it benefits from front and rear parking sensors, auto emergency braking (city – low speed), automatic headlights, dual airbags, traction control, air conditioning and three cup holders.
It was purchased from USS Nagoya as a Grade 4.5B – a ‘near new’ vehicle. Factory extras include genuine weather shields and side edge protectors. The vehicle is near new, so it presents that way. Inside and out it looks unused and is ready for its new owner.
