A near new, top-spec and space-cab version of Japan's most-popular kei truck
Standard kit includes keyless entry and start, automatic LED headlights, autonomous emergency braking + more
The Daihatsu Hijet is the best-selling kei truck in Japan.
It’s been a best-seller continuously for over 50 years, so it’s no stranger to being good.
It features 4×4, an automatic transmission and Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking.
Other standard features include keyless entry & start, power windows, dual airbags and parking sensors at both ends. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide. The Hijet Jumbo’s drop-side tray measures up at 1.70 metres long by 1.40 metres wide and will carry around 350 kg safely. There is a small bulkhead extension that allows slim lengths up to 1.90 metres to fit in the tray.
We provide federal-based vehicle compliance for all our Daihatsu Hijets, allowing for road registration in any Australian state. This one also comes with three months of NSW rego.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion, which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6 metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place the truck in tight confines or around tracks on your property or job site.

This Daihatsu Hijet Jumbo is a top-spec ‘Extra’ model built in September 2024. It is finished in the optional colour of ‘Fire Quartz Red metallic’.
SeIt’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘KF’ engine that’s built by Toyota and known to go the distance. It features a five-speed manual transmission with selectable 4×4 (otherwise RWD), low-range transfer case and rear differential lock.
As a top-spec ‘Extra’ model, it gets smart keyless entry and start, auto emergency braking forward and reversing, automatic LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, dual airbags, air conditioning, power windows, overhead storage and ABS. It comes with four keys, a log book and owner’s manual.
The vehicle is audioless, however its dashboard features a provision for a double-din Australian stereo which we can install for an extra cost.
This vehicle is brand new, so it literally presents as new. We hold a wide selection of spares for kei trucks, and have a service and repair network that extends from the Central Coast to the Southern Highlands.
