The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese-market truck that has been sold continuously in Japan for over 50 years.
The current generation – still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide.
It’s designed with great ground clearance and with a factory 4×4, a low-range transfer case and a rear diff lock – like this example has. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 680 kg – making it nimble, great on fuel, and fun to drive.
The tray has drop-sides, is 1.40 metres wide by 1.95 metres long, and you’ll carry around 350 kg safely. All of our Suzuki Carrys come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance, which enables them to be road-registered in any state in Australia.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion, which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock create a fantastic turning circle of 3.6 metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to manoeuvre in tight confines oraround tracks on your property or job site.

This Suzuki Carry was built in September 2023 and is a five-speed manual model with selectable four-wheel drive, a low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock.
It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renowned for its reliability. It was purchased from Saitama in Japan as a Grade 5B vehicle – as new. The vehicle presents as a demonstrator should and has been serviced twice in line with its yearly requirements.
The tray is in good condition and features minor marks in line with its age and use and benefits from side edge protectors and a rear tray mat. The interior presents well and features floor mats. Other small details include a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and weather shields.
