When Mercedes-Benz & AMG unified under the Mercedes-AMG moniker, its plan was to expand the brand’s performance offering.
One area AMG wanted to play in with its own receipe was the four-door GT car. Using a modified E63 platform, the legends at Affalterbach then introduced a revised front axle and steering setup alongside a different rear axle aimed at providing beter kinematics.
The result is a sweet looking fastback sedan with a smart profile and stacks of perceived quality. The powertrain is good too, it makes all the right noises as a boosted six.
Mercedes-Benz Australia never offered this car new in Australia, hence why we can import it. It offers excellent value for money.

This Mercedes-AMG GT four-door is a ’43’ trim level finished in Designo Magno Black
It’s powered by Merc’s ‘276M30’ 3.0-litre Biturbo V6 petrol engine that produces 295 kilowatts / 520 newton-metres. It also benefits from MB’s 4MATIC four-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic.
It was delivered new to Japan. Its infotainment system and screens all feature an english language setting.
