The Daihatsu Hijet is the best-selling kei truck in Japan.
It’s been a hit continuously for over 50 years, which speaks for itself. This example belongs to one of our company directors and is her personal truck.
It is a high-roof, single-cab model finished in optional ‘Ice Green’, making it highly unusual. The truck has been customised with 12-inch Weds MudVance wheels featuring Toyo All Terrains, fender flares, a Genuine Daihatsu lockable toolbox, stylish LED tail lights, high-quality brown seat covers, a Sony stereo equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and additional features.
It even has some attractive factory accessories like a genuine Daihatsu woodgrain-look interior trim. The truck also includes tray edge protectors and a tray liner. Being a newer truck means it has front & rear parking sensors, LED headlights, and automatic braking.
Its drop-side tray measures up at 1.40 metres by 2.05 metres and will carry around 350 kg safely. The three-cylinder petrol engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion, which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6 metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place the truck in tight confines or around tracks on your property or job site.
It comes with registration and its own custom plates, ‘Mintee’.

This Daihatsu Hijet is an ‘high roof’ model that was built in May 2023 and is finished in ‘Ice green’.
It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘KF’ engine that’s proven to go the distance – even under duress. It features a five-speed manual transmission with selectable 4×4 (otherwise RWD). Standard features include auto emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, ABS, traction control, air conditioning, dual air bags and ABS.
The vehicle presents in above average condition for its age and mileage, and the tray shows little signs of use. The interior is well kept and the vehicle has never been smoked in.
It was recently serviced and comes with a service history.
