The Supra SZ-R is still the value play.
The A80 Toyota Supra had four distinct versions – SZ, SZ-R, RZ, and RZ-S.
As confusing as that sounds, the former two were naturally aspirated, and the latter turbocharged. In a similar fashion, this A90 Supra SZ-R features a less-powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine in lieu of the usual six.
It’s ‘B48’ engine produces 190kW and 400 Nm of torque, and it also features the same legendary ZF eight-speed auto known for its quick shifts.
Aside from the engine, the package looks identical. Consider it a lighter and more agile version of the car you love with still enough power to make you smile, just at a significant price saving.
