Bright, bold and boxy, the Suzuki Hustler draws on inspiration from adventure and the outdoors

It's a rugged SUV with a heart of gold and space for the family

Suzuki products are all about lifestyle choices.

Cars like the Suzuki Hustler and Suzuki Jimny speak to those interested in a slice of the outdoors, whereas its Alto Works and Spacia kei cars gear more toward urban living.

You can feel the FJ cruiser vibes from a mile away. The Suzuki Hustler is a compact city car that’s spacious and well-mannered. The second-row of seats fits two adults with ease, and will also gobble up a pair of child seats in both forward- and rearward facing positions.

It’s also littered with little luxuries, like heated front seats, smart key entry and push button start, full LED headlights and colour-coded interior trim.

Safety is also high on the Suzuki Hustler’s priority list, as the MR41S model was the first mini-car in Japan to score maximum points for advanced driver assist systems.

This vehicle is equipped with autonomous emergency braking (city low speed), lane departure warning and also features a rear view camera.

There isn’t much you miss out on with a Suzuki Hustler.

The car pictured – 2020 Suzuki Hustler G hybrid MR41S

Our Suzuki Hustler was built in January 2020 and is a ‘G’ trim level.

That means it’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ petrol engine with 39kW of power and 63Nm of torque. This engine is also assisted by a mild-hybrid system with a 48-volt integrated starter motor / generator / e-motor to lower fuel consumption.

It’s light at 790kg – so performance is adequate. Motive power is handled by a CVT and the front-wheels exclusively.

As a Suzuki Hustler G model, it features heated front seats, splash proof interior fabric with yellow piping and a digital camo motif, yellow colour-coded interior inlays, keyless entry and start, automatic LED headlights, climate control air conditioning, six airbags, auto power windows, and 15-inch alloy wheels
