The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese market truck that has been sold in continuously for over 50-years.
The current generation – named ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39-metres long by 1.47-metres wide.
It’s designed with great ground clearance and the option of factory 4×4, diff locks and low range – like this example has. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 680kg – making it nimble, great on fuel, and fun to drive.
The tray has drop-sides, is 1.40-metres wide by 1.95-metres long, and you’ll carry around 400kg safely. All of our Suzuki Carrys come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance which enables them to be road registered in any state in Australia.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck tight confides or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.

Our Suzuki Carry was built in January 2019 and is a ‘KC’ trim level. It was a one-owner car purchased from Tokyo.
It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renown for its reliability, and features a five-speed manual gearbox, selectable four-wheel drive, high/low range transfer case and a rear differential lock.
As a ‘KC’ model, this Suzuki Carry receives factory air conditioning, power steering and power windows. This specific examples goes even further by having lots of factory options including automatic emergency braking (AEB – low speed city), LED projector headlights and front fog lights, remote central locking, cloth interior trim and a CD player.
It has every factory option available and is also finished in the uncommon huye of metallic blue. The tray is in well above average condition and with a few minor scuff marks consummate with its age. The interior presents well and does not show signs of being treated poorly. Other small details include a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and a tray liner.
