Capable on the road and in the bush, the Suzuki Carry is a versatile and tough little truck
Rear-wheel drive with selectable 4x4 means it's easy to drive unladen in all conditions
The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese kei truck that has been sold in continuously for over 50-years.
The current generation – codenamed ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with exterior dimensions of 3.39-metres long by 1.47-metres wide.
It’s designed with great ground clearance and the option of factory 4×4. Total kerb weight is just 680kg – meaning it uses bugger-all fuel and feels agile to drive.
The drop-side tray is 1.40-metres wide by 1.95-metres long, and you’ll carry around 400kg safely. All of our Suzuki Carrys come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance that enables them to be road registered in any state in Australia.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck tight confides or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.
If you’re looking for a truck for the farm, work or even play – the Suzuki Carry makes for the ideal partner.

Our Suzuki Carry was built in December 2018 and was purchased from USS Tokyo as a 4.0B grade vehicle.
It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renown for its reliability. This example features a five-speed automatic gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive.
The auto transmission in this example is an automated manual – not the three-speed torque converter that’s also available – so features the same gear ratios and drivability as a five-speed manual model.
Safety features include low-speed autonomous emergency braking, dual airbags, and ABS. This example was also nicely optioned with power windows, remote central locking and air conditioning. It also features cool mud flaps.
The tray is in above average condition for its age, and its interior is in great condition. Neither show signs of being treated poorly. The truck comes with three-months NSW rego, associated Japanese paperwork and Australian Federal compliance meaning it can be road registered in any state or territory in Australia.
If you’re after bull bars, tub liners, upgraded wheels and tyres or even a factory Suzuki double-din stereo conversion with Australia Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, we can help.
We also keep a stock holding of genuine Suzuki and aftermarket parts like oil/air filters, spark plugs + more.
Either way, we have your maintenance and parts supply covered.
