For more than 50 years, the Suzuki Carry has been a consistent seller in the Japanese market.
The current generation—named ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan—is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide.
The design features excellent ground clearance and a factory 4×4 option. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 680 kg—making it nimble, economical on fuel, and fun to drive.
The tray has drop sides and is 1.40 metres wide by 1.95 metres long. You’ll carry around 400 kg safely. Every Suzuki Carry we offer comes with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance, allowing for road registration in any state in Australia.
The longitudinal placement of the 660cc three-cylinder engine in the middle of the vehicle creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. The vehicle operates on rear-wheel drive when not locked to 4×4.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6 metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in tight confines or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.

This Suzuki Carry was built in January 2019 and features a five-speed manual transmission with selectable four-wheel drive. It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renowned for its reliability.
Standard features include dual airbags, air conditioning, power steering, and ABS brakes. The tray is in above-average condition and has a few minor scuff marks commensurate with its age.
The interior presents well and has not seen hard yakka. Other small details include a rear IPF LED work light mounted on the rear window guard and exterior weather shields.
