The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese market truck that has been sold in continuously for over 50-years.
The current generation – named ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39-metres long by 1.47-metres wide.
This example is a factory-built “robust” tipper. It features a heavy-duty hydraulic ram and steel high-side tray that’s able to tip.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck tight confides or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.

This Suzuki Carry is a ‘Robust tipper’ model that was built in March 2019.
It features an automatic transmission with selectable four-wheel drive. It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renown for its reliability.
The factory high-side steel tray is made by Suzuki and this vehicle is an OEM tipper made by Suzuki with no aftermarket parts. It features a hydraulic ram and is able to carry and tip around 400kg of material safely.
The interior presents well and does not show signs of being treated poorly. Other small details include a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and exterior weather shields.
