The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese market truck that has been sold in continuously for over 50-years.
The current generation – named ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39-metres long by 1.47-metres wide.
It’s designed with great ground clearance and the option of factory 4×4, diff locks and low range – like this example has. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 680kg – making it nimble, great on fuel, and fun to drive.
The tray has drop-sides, is 1.40-metres wide by 1.95-metres long, and you’ll carry around 400kg safely. All of our Suzuki Carrys come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance which enables them to be road registered in any state in Australia.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck tight confides or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.

This Suzuki Carry is a ‘KC’ model that was built in March 2014. It features a five-speed manual transmission with selectable four-wheel drive, high/low range transfer case and a rear diff lock. It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renown for its reliability.
As a KC model, this truck features power windows, remote central locking, front fog lights, cloth interior trim and dual airbags. Standard features include air conditioning, power steering and ABS brakes.
The tray is in above-average condition and with a few minor scuff marks consummate with its age. The interior presents well and does not show signs of being treated poorly. Other small details include a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and exterior weather shields.
