The second-generation Lexus IS was the first series to be sold new in Japan

And from launch in Japan, their model range included a 234kW/380Nm 3.5-litre V6

In Australia, the first 3.5-litre V6-powered Lexus IS models arrived in 2008.

The brand had been selling the second-generation IS250 since 2006, but these higher-power models did not arrive until a few years later.

In Japan, the 234kW/380Nm ‘2GR’ V6 version was available from launch in 2005. We hand-picked this 2008 model as it’s one of the last months of production that can be imported into Australia, and also because its interior is in superb condition.

It’s mint inside. The paint is all original and the exterior presents in-above average condition, too.

If you’re after a stable daily driver that’ll never let you down yet has some balls, this is your car.

Our Lexus IS350 was built in October 2008 and was purchased from USS Tokyo (Japan) as a 4.5B grade vehicle.

As Version S model it features keyless entry and start, electric seats with electric lumbar support and two-position memory, automatic HID headlights and automatic wipers, climate control, cruise control and more.

It’s powered by a 234kW/380Nm ‘2GR’ 3.5-litre V6 engine that sends power through a six-speed auto to the rear wheels. Australian brand CrownFocus sells a module that introduces Apple CarPlay + Android Auto to this car’s factory infotainment system if you wish to introduce smartphone connectivity.

The ‘2GR’ Toyota engine was sold in Australia, so parts are readily available. We also keep a stock holding of genuine Toyota and aftermarket parts like oil/air filters, spark plugs + more.

Either way, our workshop can assist with maintaining your Lexus.
