Toyota's first-and-only V12 is an absolute peach
it also sits in a hand-built car that's made to standard beyond a Rolls-Royce
The Toyota Century offers a truly unique and unparalleled experience.
While reminiscent of old-school, hand-built Bentleys from the 1990s, it still has a purely Eastern flavour. From its build quality to its high-end detailing and the sound of that sweet 12-cylinder start motor, nothing really compares.
If you’ve experienced and owned a few unique cars in your time, you’ll understand the value of what a Century offers. On top of layers upon layers of factory paintwork, there’s a fine-grade leather, heated, electric, cooled and massaging seats, and even an extension for the rear passenger to lay their legs flat through the seat in front.
Aside from all that razzamatazz about build quality and amenity, the Toyota Century is still a modern marvel. Toyota’s sole V12 engine powers it, ensuring smooth and reliable performance. This model is also a 2005+ update version with the desirable six-speed automatic transmission amongst other things.
Toyota only manages to build around 30 Toyota Centurys per month, making it an extremely rare vehicle. Australia imports it under a ‘rarity’ criterion, which it shares with the Bugatti Veyron.
Seeing such a low-production and high-craft vehicle from a mass production manufacturer is rare. The Toyota Century is entertaining, unique, and guaranteed to create a stir wherever you venture.

This Toyota Century was built in Feburary 2005 and was purchased from USS Tokyo. That makes it an updated ‘facelift’ model.
It’s powered by a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine dubbed ‘1GZ-FE’ with 206 kW of power and 481 Nm of torque and uses a six-speed automatic. It is rear-wheel drive.
This example was finished in ‘Demure Blue mica’ and configured with fender mirrors and a grey leather interior. Despite its mileage, this examples presents as if it has 100,000 kilometres less. It is considered to be in well-above average condition for its age.
Its original paintwork has been professionally corrected and looks the part. It also comes with a detailed service history, proving it has been loved by only two previous keepers.
Other options include bronze glass, dual EMV package with front and rear screens, a rear DVD player, a Toyota Century dictaphone and cruise control. Standard features include front heated and electric seats, rear heated, cooled, massage and electric seats, rear vanity mirrors, climate control air conditioning, air suspension, traction control, multiple airbags, ABS, a digital speed readout and so much more.
