Like the idea of a Kei truck but need a larger cabin?
The Super Carry is it
For more than 50 years, the Suzuki Carry has been one of Japan’s most popular kei trucks. Kei trucks are light commercial vehicles that sit in a Japanese compact vehicle class aimed at lower running costs.
This Suzuki Carry is a ‘DA16T’ model that’s still sold new in Japan. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide. This space-cab version features a proper sliding seat with a contoured backrest, which means taller people will fit behind the wheel.
It boasts excellent ground clearance and a factory 4×4 system with a five-speed manual, low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock. Another unique feature of the kei truck is its weight, which is just 720 kg in this case. It makes it nimble, economical on fuel, and fun to drive.
It’ll manage 110 km/h on the motorway, and its awesome turning circle makes it simple to park. The tray has drop sides and measures at 1.48 metres long by 1.41 metres wide. It has a party trick in that it can also fit up to 1.85-metre lengths when using the additional bulkhead area.
This example presents well and is wholly original. We provide certification and federal-based vehicle compliance for all our Suzuki Carrys, allowing for road registration in any state in Australia.
This example comes with three months of NSW registration. Its 660 cc three-cylinder engine’s longitudinal placement in the middle of the vehicle creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design.
It operates in rear-wheel drive when not locked to 4×4. With huge amounts of steering lock, you achieve a fantastic turning circle of 3.6 metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to navigate tight confines or tracks on your property or job site.
If you’re looking for a truck for the farm, work, or even play, the Suzuki Super Carry could be the ideal solution.
