The Suzuki Carry has been a popular kei truck in Japan for over 50 years.
The current model—still sold new in Japan—is what you see pictured here. It is a compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide.
It boasts excellent ground clearance and a factory 4×4 driveline. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 740 kg—making it nimble, economical on fuel, and fun to drive. It’ll manage 110 km/h on the motorway, and its awesome turning circle makes it simple to park.
The tray has drop sides and will carry around 400 kg safely. It measures up at 1.48 metres long by 1.41 metres wide and can fit up to 1.85-metre lengths when using the additional bulkhead area.

The longitudinal placement of the 660cc three-cylinder engine in the middle of the vehicle creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. The vehicle operates on rear-wheel drive when not locked to 4×4.

This Suzuki Super Carry was built in January 2020 and is an ‘X’ model. As a 2020 model, this truck is a facelift version with the latest updates; it was purchased from USS Osaka as a genuine one-owner vehicle and received an auction grade of 4.5A, indicating it is close to new!
That means it’s powered by the steadfast 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine and features a five-speed automatic transmission with 4×4.
Factory specification on the ‘X’ model includes lane keeping assist, auto emergency braking, power windows, remote central locking, dual airbags, ABS, front fog lights and a double-DIN stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Optional extras from new include metallic silver paint and a front-facing dashcam.
Aftermarket extras on this truck consist of a Hard Cargo ladder rack, genuine JDM 14-inch rims with Toyo all-terrain tyres, tray edge protectors, a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and exterior weather shields. The tray is in above-average condition with minor marks commensurate with age. The interior presents as new.
The vehicle was serviced upon arriving in Australia and comes with a service history plus two keys.
