Cult and Classic is owned by a husband-and-wife duo that have worked for car manufacturers for over a decade.
Justin product planned the cars Australians were to drive and imported tens-of-thousands of examples commercially. Together, they’ve also flown around the world reviewing new cars for Australia’s biggest media company.
Ryan Carter is our full-time staff member with a 20+ year career in the Government sector. Rising to the cream of the crop in his field, he has now replaced the boardroom and command centre for our workshop, and loves cars like we all do.
Another face you’ll see is our in-house technician, Dave Narayan. Dave is Justin’s father and is a qualified mechanic who’s spent over 40 years in both dealership and self-employed environments as a vehicle repairer.
The four of us love cars and have owned over 300 different vehicles together. Our car collecting strategy is led by how cars made us feel emotionally and their rarity, but we also have a knack for picking ‘sleeping giants’ with a significant secondary benefit of excellent medium-term appreciation (36+ months).
We excel at making purchases at the forefront of the market. Cult and Classic is the culmination of our professional and personal automotive careers, and it’s a dream come true being able to service the local car community with our international vehicle finding, importing, and buying service.
Brand mantras
Like or loathe it, every brand needs a vision. A North Star. Something to aspire to, and hold us accountable for the products and services we offer the car community.
We believe in:
- Democracy. It doesn’t matter whether your budget is $15,000 or $1,500,000 – we treat everyone the same and you’re all welcome.
- The youth. Young drivers need looking after, so we always keep a cool, sub $20K and P Plate friendly vehicle in stock at all times. Cool cars need not cost the world – and we all start our journey somewhere!
- Transparency. Our fee structure is simple and straight-forward across all services we offer: Find it, Comply it and Buy it. We also price our ‘Buy it’ showroom cars sharply to avoid wasting time with fruitless negotiations.
