The Suzuki Carry is a Japanese market truck that has been sold in continuously for over 50-years.
The current generation – named ‘DA16T’ and still sold new in Japan – is what you see pictured here. It’s a nifty and compact ute that’s 3.39-metres long by 1.47-metres wide.
This example is a factory-built low-side tipper. It features a heavy-duty hydraulic ram and drop-side tray that’s able to tip. The tipping function is operated from inside the cab.
The 660cc three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive.
Huge amounts of steering lock result in a fantastic turning circle of 3.6-metres, and your forward-facing vantage point makes it easy to place in truck tight confides or up-and-around tracks on your property or job site.

The car pictured – 2024 Suzuki Carry 4×4 low-side tipper
This Suzuki Carry is a ‘low-side’ tipper model that was built in July 2024. It is brand new.
It features an five-speed transmission with selectable four-wheel drive, low-range transfer case and rear differential lock. It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine that’s renown for its reliability.
The factory low-side alloy tray with drop-sides is made by Suzuki, and this truck is an OEM tipper made by Suzuki with no aftermarket parts. It features a heavy-duty hydraulic ram and is able to carry and tip around 350kg of material safely.
Extras include metallic silver paint, power windows, a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and exterior weather shields.
