For over 50 years, the Suzuki Carry has been a continuously sold mini truck in the Japanese market.
The current generation – still sold new in Japan – is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute with dimensions of 3.39 metres long by 1.47 metres wide.
It’s designed with excellent ground clearance and with a factory 4×4, a low-range transfer case and a rear diff lock – like this example has. Another talking point is its kerb weight of just 680 kg – making it nimble, great on fuel, and fun to drive.
This example is a higher-spec 2024 model with advanced driver-assist systems like parking sensors and also features a wicked set of 14-inch Japanese Weds Mudvance wheels finished in hammertone bronze.
The tray has drop-sides, is 1.40 metres wide by 1.95 metres long, and you’ll carry around 350 kg safely. All of our Suzuki Carrys come with certification and federal-based vehicle compliance, which enables them to be road-registered in any state in Australia.
Its three-cylinder engine is located in the middle of the vehicle in a longitudinal fashion, which creates a fantastic and ergonomic cab-over design. When the vehicle is not locked to 4×4, it is rear-wheel drive. It’ll sit at 110 km/h on the highway, too.
The car pictured – 2024 Suzuki Carry KX 4×4 / low range / diff lock
This Suzuki Carry was built in May 2024 and is a five-speed manual model with selectable four-wheel drive, a low-range transfer case and a rear differential lock.
It’s powered by a 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine, which is known for its reliability. It was purchased from Osaka, Japan, as a grade 4.5A vehicle – as new. The vehicle presents impeccably and has been serviced twice in line with its yearly requirements.
The tray is in excellent condition and features minor marks consistent with its age and use, and it includes aluminium edge protectors and a rear tray mat. The interior presents well and features a PIVOT tachometer, floor mats and a double-DIN CD player & radio. Other small details include a rear exterior light mounted on the rear window guard and weather shields.
This vehicle was also fitted with a set of brand-new Weds Mudvance wheels (14×4.5 +45) and new Goodyear tyres of the correct size. The wheels are valued at $2000.
