For more than 50 years, the Suzuki Carry has dominated the Japanese kei truck / light truck segment.
The current generation, still sold new in Japan, is the truck you see pictured here. It is a nifty and compact ute that boasts excellent ground clearance and a factory 4×4 driveline.
Another benefit is a kerb weight of just 740 kg – making it nimble, economical on fuel, and fun to drive. This Suzuki Super Carry is an ‘extra cab’ version that features a proper seat with a sliding rail and a reclining backrest.
Drivers and passengers over six feet tall will find it comfortable and usable. Other benefits of the Super Carry include a large storage area behind its seats and an overhead storage console, too.
It’ll manage motorway speeds on occasion, and its awesome turning circle makes it simple to park. The tray has drop sides and measures up at 1.48 metres long by 1.41 metres wide and also features a bulkhead that allows slim loads up to 1.85 metres in length.

The car pictured – 2023 Suzuki Super Carry X 4×4
This Suzuki Super Carry was built in March 2023 and is a top-spec ‘X’ model. It was purchased from USS Tokyo as a grade 4.5B vehicle in original condition and had one previous owner.
That means it’s powered by the steadfast 660cc three-cylinder ‘R06A’ engine and features an automatic transmission with selectable 4×4.
Factory options include Khaki Green Pearl, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, power windows, remote central locking, and a provision for a double-DIN stereo. We can install Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in this car at your request.
The tray features a removable liner and is in above-average condition. There are no signs of poor treatment on the interior either. The vehicle was serviced upon arriving in Australia and comes with a Japanese service history, two keys and its owner’s manual.
